Ashwin’s Volunteer Experience at IBC

“If you want to go fast, of alone. If you want to go far, go together!”

I am a helpful person, so it was natural for me to respond to IBC´s call for volunteers. I like that as a volunteer I can contribute to giving a hand to those in need. It’s been almost a year now that I am a member of the IBC volunteer team and I will be happy to keep on contributing. As a double bachelors’ holder in linguistics I am working as a conference interpreter and translator since 2008 to-date. As a volunteer for IBC as an international and therewith multi-language organisation, I can use my professional experience to do good. I have reviewed and translated documents such as the Theory of Change for the Life Skills programme and material for the good governance training IBC staff organises for its members worldwide.

My involvement with IBC brings me self-satisfaction and I believe I help IBC to promote its programmes and assist people with addiction problems.
