Aware of the damage that alcohol- and other drug consumption can cause in people’s lives, it has been extremely rewarding to work for IBC as a volunteer as interpreter and translator since 2020. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to use my skills to promote programmes and policies to protect people from alcohol- and other drug harm. I firmly believe that we can all contribute to build a healthier future by helping others. Especially satisfying has been for me to interpret remote trainings and meetings during the pandemic, helping IBC to continue its work in difficult times.
